My name is Jeff DiCello. I am a paralegal and the owner of DiCello Paralegal Services.
I earned a paralegal certificate from the Sonoma State University Paralegal Program in 2006 and am in compliance with the paralegal educational requirements under California Business and Professions Code § 6450 et seq. (Note: a legal assistant or paralegal is a person qualified by education, training or work experience who is employed or retained by a lawyer, law office, corporation, governmental agency or other entity who performs specifically delegated substantive legal work for which a lawyer is responsible.)
I am also a graduate of the Santa Rosa Junior College Administration of Justice program, where I took many of the same law classes that police officers have.
My background includes service as a paralegal in small and medium sized law firms. I have worked in the areas of estate planning, criminal defense, personal injury, and general civil litigation. I also worked the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department.
This unique combination of education and experience places me in an ideal position to spot flaws in police reports and procedure that can be exploited to your client’s advantage.
I also edit and write for the quarterly newsletter of the Redwood Empire Association of Paralegals (REAP), The REAP Record.
I am a member of the Sonoma County Bar Association (non-admitted, legal support member).
Although my focus and passion is in the area of criminal defense, my other law firm experience and paralegal education enable me to draft a wide variety of documents in a variety of practice areas.
